Navigating Free Homeschool Curriculum

Embarking on the homeschooling journey opens doors to a world of educational possibilities without the need for hefty expenditures. In this blog, we will explore an extensive array of free homeschooling curriculum, providing families with diverse options to tailor their educational approach. These resources cover a wide range of subjects and grade levels, ensuring a well-rounded and cost-effective learning experience for your children. These are just a select few of available free curriculum out there.

1. Khan Academy:

   - Khan Academy stands as a pioneer in free online education, offering a comprehensive curriculum encompassing math, science, economics, and more. Its adaptive learning approach tailors lessons to individual progress, making it suitable for learners of all ages.

2. Ambleside Online:

   - Based on Charlotte Mason's philosophy, Ambleside Online provides a literature-rich and free homeschooling curriculum. It emphasizes living books, narration, and nature studies, creating a holistic and engaging learning environment.

3. Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool:

   - As the name suggests, Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool offers a complete and free curriculum from preschool through high school. Its user-friendly platform covers core subjects, minimizing preparation time for homeschooling parents.

4. Teachers Pay Teachers

They have free and paid options of thousands of printables. We use them often in our own homeschooling.

5.PBS LearningMedia:

   - PBS LearningMedia offers an extensive collection of free educational resources, including videos, lesson plans, and interactive activities. Spanning various subjects and grade levels, it serves as a valuable supplement to homeschooling curriculum.

6. Superteacherworksheets.com

I absolutely love all of their free worksheets. We are currently using Gallon Bot to introduce gallons, pints, quarts and cups. They also have a paid membership where you can access everything on their website.

7. CK-12 Foundation:

   - CK-12 offers free, customizable K-12 content in various subjects, allowing parents to tailor the curriculum to their child's needs. The platform includes textbooks, interactive activities, and adaptive practice.

8. Project Gutenberg:

As you navigate these options, consider the unique needs and interests of your children, fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the boundaries of a traditional classroom.
